THE VISION
For the high-stakes launch of The Last of Us Season 2, HBO Max and agency Giant Spoon enlisted Superbien to transform Brooklyn’s historic Domino Sugar Factory. The objective was to create a spectacular visual takeover, merging raw industrial architecture with the haunting, organic aesthetic of the series.
THE EXPERTISE
Animating a complex, landmarked façade in just 45 days required an extremely precise technical and creative approach.
Organic Augmented Content: Developed realistic cordyceps animations designed to appear as if they were physically "infecting" the building's brick and steel structure.
Cinematic Integration: Meticulously adapted exclusive series excerpts to the specific textures and volumes of the factory for total narrative immersion.
Complex Surface Mapping: Managed the unique light absorption and relief challenges inherent to this iconic New York industrial monument.
THE IMPACT
A resounding success in the heart of Brooklyn, drawing hundreds of spectators on-site and generating over a million interactions online. The project set a new benchmark for immersive series promotion, praised by fans and industry leaders for its ability to turn a historic landmark into a powerful storytelling tool.
